Can you believe we're already 20% of the way through building our landmark new youth center in Mudanjiang?!
We're so excited to announce that we have successfully completed Phase 1 of construction for our new Youth Compassion Center in Mudanjiang, which will be a hub for local youth to play, study and most importantly, learn about the beautiful companionship and love that dogs bring into our lives.
Phase 1 consisted of constructing the center-front of our building, which will be the first impression passers by have on the street of our new center. We couldn't have done it without your generous support, and our MDJ team is so grateful - they wanted to send across a photo to show their appreciation!
The importance of this center is crucial, as it is based in one of China's most prevalent dog-eating cities (second only to Yulin). By creating this center here, we hope to change the hearts and minds of future generations to eliminate the dog meat trade once and for all.
Thanks to generous donors, we've been able to kickstart Phase 2 of the center's construction - Interior Renovation. Even though we still have a long way to go, this positive start has been so encouraging to our team and gives us so much hope for the future impact this center will make.
We look forward to keeping you posted on the progress of the center's construction, and really appreciate your continuous support.
