Intercepted Just in Time
Yesterday in Guiyang City, China, a truck packed with hundreds of dogs and cats destined for slaughter was successfully intercepted thanks to quick thinking, compassionate, and courageous young animal activists.
Activists blocked the truck’s path with their cars, preventing it from disappearing into the shadows with its frightened, exhausted cargo. They cautiously unloaded the overcrowded, rusty cages, comforting the animals as they were delicately removed from their intense confinement. In one video, you can hear voices calling out, “Be careful, be gentle,” a tender refrain amid the chaos and urgency of the rescue.
Thank You, Animal Activists!
Professional animal rescuers didn’t lead this incredible effort; it was led by four 19-year-old women who represent a powerful new wave of young Chinese citizens standing up for animals. As we’ve said time and again, this generation loves animals just as fiercely as we do. Their bravery yesterday is proof of this.

Within just a few hours, hundreds of crates and medical supplies were donated by animal lovers from all over China. The outpouring of support has been nothing short of extraordinary. Our team is in close contact with the activists and volunteers on the ground, and we are standing by to provide additional assistance if needed. We’ll share more updates on our social media pages as we receive them.
