Organize Your Own International Pet Appreciation Rally
Summer is fast approaching, and with it comes an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our beloved furry friends. Duo Duo Project team members and our dedicated supporters are gearing up for our second annual International Pet Appreciation Rally. Last year's events were a tremendous success, and we're aiming even higher this year. Let’s end the horrible Yulin dog meat “festival” (occurring on June 20, 2024) and the cruel dog and cat meat trade with an international outpouring of love for the animals with whom we share our lives.
Our 2024 events will kick off with a large-scale rally in Union Square, in the heart of San Francisco, USA, where our voices will unite in a powerful demonstration of compassion for dogs and cats worldwide. Then throughout June, volunteer-driven rallies will take place across the globe, spreading our message of love and hope.
We're calling on all animal advocates to join us in organizing International Pet Appreciation Rallies in your communities.
And the best part? It's easier than you might think! Here are some ideas on where to hold an International Pet Appreciation Rally:
your yard
a local park
your company’s parking lot or break room
pet-friendly hotel lobby
in front of a pet supply store
in front of a veterinarian clinic
the lobby or parking lot of your local animal shelter or rescue organization, ask if they are interested in co-organizing with you
or find another creative, pet-friendly location
All it takes is 10 or more passionate individuals coming together to make a difference.
