YOU CAN BUILD A YOUTH COMPASSION CENTER
IN A MAJOR HUB OF THE DOG MEAT TRADE
The Center will be a crucial step in ending the dog meat trade forever. Your support will change the hearts and minds of locals in Mudanjiang (MDJ), one of China's most prevalent dog-eating cities (second only to Yulin). With a place for young locals to spend time with rescued dogs, learning to see them as friends and not food, we plant the seeds of compassion.
Shelter and Rescue Support
We sponsor shelters in China strategically. Our shelters are mostly located in dog eating cities. We also work with local activists to provide care for dogs rescued from the dog meat trade.
A HUGE STEP FOR CHANGE IN MUDANJIANG
In the last two years, our generous donors have helped us transform a run-down building in MDJ into a shelter that now takes in dogs that would have been slaughtered.

...And after! Our donors helped us transform a run-down building into a functional shelter housing 85 rescue dogs.
Through this shelter, Duo Duo Project has sponsored many successful youth education programs in China in the last few years, and we now have our minds set on pushing for improved animal welfare laws in China.
Young people play an extremely important role in pushing legislation that will outlaw the dog meat trade in China forever. That's why we have decided to build a youth center in MDJ.
Our Compassion Center, aimed at youth, will give young people of this city a place to share animal welfare education and hands-on awakening.
THE COMPASSION CENTER YOU HELP BUILD WILL TRANSFORM 10,950 YOUTHS INTO ANIMAL ADVOCATES EACH YEAR
The Compassion Center can hold up to 30 people at a time, so we estimate that we can see 10,950 young people come through this facility in the first year alone.
That's a lot of hearts and minds that this center can change about the value of animals in society.
