In the spirit of compassion and global action, we invite animal advocates everywhere to lace up their sneakers and leash up their dogs for Duo Duo Project’s International Pet Appreciation Walk-a-thon — a powerful, accessible way to honor the animals we cherish while helping to end the cruelty of the dog and cat meat trade.
As part of our third annual International Pet Appreciation Celebration, the Walk-a-thon invites supporters worldwide to turn everyday dog walks into a life-saving movement. Together, we’ll create a worldwide wave of love and appreciation for dogs and cats while working to end the dog and cat meat trade and the Yulin Dog Meat “Festival” which occurs on June 21.
Here’s how it works:
Set your own walking goal — whether it’s 10, 50, or 100 miles - and invite your friends and family to sponsor you at $5 (or more) per mile.
Walk at your own pace between now and June 30th.
Track your progress and build community by joining our special Facebook event page (coming soon), where you’ll connect with other walkers, share your stories, and inspire one another.
Raise critical funds to support Duo Duo Project’s spay/neuter initiative and advocacy work to end the dog and cat meat trade in China.
This isn’t just a fundraiser — it’s a global movement. Dogs and cats are family, not food.
